Social InclusionOur objective is to maintain quality services which are outcome based and which meet the standards determined by governing and funding bodies.

Provision of quality support and care is fundamental to the philosophy and goals of the ActivRehab organisation. ActivRehab employs a quality assurance system of its own design that unites the principles of total quality management and active rehabilitation. This ensures an effective and efficient system for monitoring, evaluation and continual improvement of individualised service provision and organisational function.

Quality Assurance Procedures:
The ActivRehab quality improvement programme ensures an effective and efficient system for monitoring, evaluation and continual improvement of the services it provides. A key component of this is a comprehensive internal audit system which is used to review the services privided for compliance with standards, preferred practices and individualised outcomes.

Ensuring the right things happen.

This is a system that incorporates relevant standards and recommended “best practices” from:

ActivRehab has an ongoing programme of audits, which involve the people who use our services. ActivRehab uses the following types of audits:

  • Criterion based audit around service users on quality of life improvements and clinical indicators.
  • Internal retrospective audit of operational standards and organisational systems.
  • Service user appraisal including non instructive advocacy or feedback from an independent supporter.
  • Stakeholder appraisal on selected outcomes.

All results of these internal audits and appraisals are shared with appropriate external inspection agencies.

Regular Inspections:
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England and local authorities inspect and report back on our services on a regular basis.

Supporting everyday lives in everyday enviroments.

Health and Safety:
ActivRehab has a dedicated Health and Safety Manager as required by the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, Health & Safety Executive (HSE) 1999.
